CoGro

Why CoGros?

The Church is more than a building. It is more than an institution. It is more than a non-profit organization.

Jesus said, "I will build My Church, and the gates of Hades will not stand against it."

The Church is the body of Christ - the people who have confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and believe in their heart that God has raised Him from the dead.

Jesus prayed in John 17 that His followers would be ONE even as He and the Father are ONE so that the world would know that He was sent by His Father.

This kind of Unity is impossible when we meet only in a large group once a week.

We are not called to hold services together.

We are called to love each other

To bear each others burdens

To encourage each other to carry our own loads

To confess our sins to each other

To pray for one another

To do life together.

We are called to grow together in Unity.

And it is this Unity that will draw others to know who Jesus is.

So our small groups are, "Community Groups."

And we call our Community Groups, "CoGros," so that we will remember that we are being intentional to Grow Together in Unity, and Grow Together in the number of those who are joining in our fellowship. And our fellowship is with Jesus Christ.

What is a CoGro?

A CoGro is a group of 3-12 people who meet weekly to discuss how they are learning to follow Jesus, and to encourage each other in this journey throughout the week.

As a result of the current situation with Covid-19 all CoGro meetings will be done with Zoom. Please email Pastor Nick Acker for a link to the Zoom meetings.
